IconSWM Award for SWM Excellence will be conferred to the recipient ULBs. A voluntary participation by the ULBs for the assessment for the IconSWM Award of Excellence in SWM can be opted at a participation fees.

Interested ULBs to participate in the assessment roll for the award have to send the filled in questionnaire booklet form and the fees for assessment by 5 th September 2009. Questionnaire booklet form on the assessment criteria and the methodologies will be received by the ULBs on request or may be downloaded from the website at free of cost. The assessment will be carried out by a team of experts at the ULBs on a pre programmed date in September and October 2009.

The primary round of assessment will be carried out by our expert on the filled in questionnaire form submitted by the ULB. The ULBs selected based on the primary round o f document assessment will be informed on the date of next round of assessment.

IconSWM experts will visit the ULB selected in the primary round o f ssessment for the second round of assessment. The assess ment will be carried out through interview, site visit and document review at the office of the ULB based on the Award criteria laid in the questionnaire form.

The award will include a citation and the memento. The award will be announced in the inaugural ceremony and will be presented in the valedictory programme of this international platform. Download the form from this website www.iconswm.com .

Registration fees for participation: The participation fee for the IconSWM Award of Excellence in SWM for ULBs is Rs. 10,000/- to be paid along with the filled in questionnaire booklet form. The payment is to be made by draft drawn in favour of ” IconSWM ” payable at Kolkata. The registration may be done online.
